Booking & Reservations

The best way to book your room or suite is directly through our website by clicking the “Book Online” button. There, you can easily make your reservation yourself and will always find our current rates, as well as offers, specials, and unique packages. Since we have only eight rooms and suites at PlatzlAlm, our availability is limited. We therefore recommend booking early, especially during peak seasons.

What is included in the room rate?
Breakfast is included in the room rate.
Why is full prepayment required at the time of booking?
Since we have only eight rooms and suites, every room you book is reserved exclusively for you. To keep our booking processes simple, transparent, and consistent, we’ve adopted the payment models now commonly used by many large travel and booking companies. Therefore, a prepayment of 100% of the total booking amount is required at the time of booking. This ensures that your reservation is confirmed and binding from the start, and that your room or suite is firmly reserved for you.
When does my reservation become binding?
Your reservation becomes binding upon receipt of our reservation confirmation and after payment has been made.
What payment options are available?
We accept EC/debit cards as well as VISA and Mastercard.
Can I bring my dog?
In the summer, you’re welcome to bring your dog. We charge €30 per day, not including food. In the winter, unfortunately, we do not allow dogs to stay overnight.
Cancellation & Travel Cancellation Insurance
Should I purchase travel cancellation insurance?
Yes. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel cancellation insurance. Especially with a trip planned well in advance, something unexpected can always happen. With the right insurance, you’ll be as well-protected as possible in the event of illness or other covered reasons that prevent you from traveling.
What are the cancellation policies?
The following cancellation policies apply to your reservation:
Up to 3 months before arrival: free cancellation
Up to 1 month before arrival: 40% of the total package price
Up to 1 week before arrival: 70% of the total package price
During the last week before arrival: 90% of the total package price
In case of a no-show: 100% of the total package price
Cancellations must be made in writing. The date we receive your cancellation will determine the cancellation fee.
Winter at the Platzlalm
Can I drive to the PlatzlAlm in the winter?
No. In the winter, the PlatzlAlm is located right in the Hochzillertal ski area and cannot be reached by car. The Zillertaler Höhenstraße is closed in the winter.
Where can I park my car in the winter?
You can park your car in the parking lot or in one of the parking garages at the valley station. Parking is free for guests staying overnight on the mountain.
By what time do I need to arrive in the winter?
The first trip up the mountain is at 7:30 a.m., and the last trip up is at 4:00 p.m. Plan your trip so that you can make it to the last trip up the mountain with plenty of time to spare.
After the last trip up the mountain, it’s no longer possible to reach the PlatzlAlm. If you miss it, we unfortunately cannot pick you up in the valley. You’ll then have to wait until the next day to arrive.
How do I get there in winter?
Park your car at the valley station, pick up your ski pass at the ticket office, and take the gondola to the mountain station. Once you arrive at the top, please give us a quick call. How we’ll get you and your luggage to the PlatzlAlm depends on your arrival time.
How do I get from the mountain station to the PlatzlAlm with my luggage?
Arrivals from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.: We’ll pick you and your luggage up at the mountain station and take you directly to the PlatzlAlm by Skidoo.
Arrivals between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.: We’re not allowed to drive the Skidoo during this time. You can leave your luggage at the top station of the silver gondola. We’ll pick it up for you at 4:00 p.m. and bring it to the PlatzlAlm. In the meantime, you can already enjoy the slopes or walk over to us. Your room or suite will be ready for you starting at 3:00 p.m.
Why is my luggage picked up at 4:00 p.m. if I arrive after 10:00 a.m.?
Between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the Skidoo cannot be used on the slopes due to ongoing ski operations. Therefore, luggage is transported either in the morning or after regular slope operations have ended.
How much checked baggage can I bring on the trip there?
For the trip there, you are allowed one suitcase, one ski boot bag, and one ski bag per person as checked baggage.
Do I need a ski pass on the day I arrive?
You can pick up your ski pass at the ticket counter at the valley station. Here’s a special treat for your trip here: Between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., the ride up the mountain is free if you have a valid ski pass for the following day.
Do I have to ski to the PlatzlAlm?
No. Of course, it’s easiest to ski there, since the PlatzlAlm is located right in the ski area. But you can also easily walk from the mountain station to the PlatzlAlm. The path is relatively easy, and you’ll reach us in about 20 minutes.
What happens to my luggage when I check out?
If you’d like to have your luggage taken to the mountain station in the morning, please place it in the hallway in front of the lift by 10:00 a.m. at the latest and let us know briefly. We’ll then take your luggage to the top station and store it there for you. You can then plan your day as you like. Pick up your luggage yourself at the top station before your descent, and please note that the last gondola ride down is at 5:00 p.m.
Can I leave my luggage at the PlatzlAlm until the afternoon?
Yes, of course. If you’d like to continue enjoying your day of skiing, you’re welcome to leave your luggage with us at the PlatzlAlm. We’ll take it to the mountain station at 4:00 p.m. You can then pick it up there yourself and take it down to the valley on the gondola. The last descent is at 5:00 p.m. Please allow enough time to pick up your luggage and catch the gondola on time.
Will you take my luggage all the way down to the valley when I leave?
No. Our luggage transport service ends at the mountain station. From there, you'll need to pick up your luggage yourself and take it down to the valley on the gondola.
