Located in the middle of pine trees in an idyllic spot just above the Hochzillertal summit station and right on the impressive Zillertaler Höhenstraße, our cozy alpine hut is the perfect place to stop for refreshments! In the Zillertal, we get to know you on a first name basis, and up here on the mountain, like-minded people who appreciate nature and quality become fast friends!
In winter, your ski day starts right outside your door. Before breakfast, freshly groomed and almost empty slopes are waiting for your first turns. And when hunger calls, simply ski back to the PlatzlAlm for a delicious breakfast.
Need a little boost before your first run? Grab your first coffee at the coffee machine in our ski room – because the perfect ski day starts with a good cup of coffee.
Cuisine on the mountain
The magnificent sunny terrace invites you to feast and relax with a spectacular panoramic view. In the cozy fireplace lounge, rustic hunter's lounge, and spacious tile stove lounge with seating for up to 100 people, you can stock up on energy for your next downhill ski run or enjoy a fun get-together with good company!
As you are being awakened by the first rays of sunlight, you are exactly where you belong....that being on the mountain with summits, forests, and heavenly peace & quiet all around - what more could you possibly want?
What could be more wonderful than a winter vacation in the middle of the ski area? Nothing. While long lines are already forming at the ticket offices, you can still be relaxing in bed.
Small, exquisite hotel
Staying in one of our eight comfortable rooms and suites, you’ll experience the unique magic of this special place and feel the fascination of the Tyrolean mountains up close. Inspired by the nature surrounding us, the interiors bring a little piece of the outdoors inside, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere.
In the morning, a generous mountain breakfast awaits you for the perfect start to your day. In the evening, enjoy a varied à la carte menu from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
As a guest staying at the PlatzlAlm, you have the unique opportunity to enjoy the slopes almost all to yourself. Before the ski area gets busy in the morning and after the day visitors have left in the afternoon, the mountain is yours to enjoy – with peaceful, uncrowded slopes and unforgettable runs.
Downstairs in your mountain retreat, you’ll find a cosy SPA area with a Finnish sauna, experience shower and relaxation room. Our modern ski room also offers convenient storage, a ski boot warmer and a coffee machine – perfect for grabbing a quick coffee before your first run. ☕🎿
