Hosts with a passion
Your host Martin has been closely connected to this special place since childhood. This property on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße has been owned by the family for decades and has always been a beloved excursion destination for the Wimpissinger family, who has run Hotel Platzlhof for over 50 years. The hospitality industry has been in Martin and his siblings' blood since birth. He comes by it naturally.
Before the dream of having his own hut in the Hochzillertal finally became a reality in 2008, Martin was a ski instructor in the Hochzillertal area and knows the summits and slopes of the surroundings like the back of his hand. Over the years, the landscape, stories, and people of the region have become his own. With his nature and mountain-loving Eva, who moved to the Zillertal from her home in Upper Austria via Munich, Martin found the perfect partner with whom he could share his connection to this place.

After an 8-year planning phase, the shared vision of Martin and Eva was transformed into an enchanting alpine hotel in the middle of the ski area. Built by hand with traditional construction, the inviting hut awaits you with rustic furniture, a tasteful style, Tyrolean coziness, a spirit of the time, and modern comfort.
